Used quite extensively by the Germans during World War II, the Volkswagen Schwimmwagen is one of the most sought after vehicles among VW enthusiasts.

 

An amphibious four-wheel drive off road machine, the Schwimmwagen is not only badass, it is extremely rare. Earlier this week a pristine 1943 Volkswagen Schwimmwagen became available for sale through OldBug, and this thing is a gem to say the least. The completely restored vehicle is sporting all of the authentic props from the 1940s including rifles, shovel, side mounted oar, and even has a machine gun mounted to the hood as well (non-operational of course). The vehicle is equipped with a fully rebuilt 25 horsepower engine, and is ready to hit the lake for the summer season. There’s just one problem though. This genuine 1943 will cost you a pretty penny… $150,000.
