Moments ago Microsoft unveiled their all new gaming console titled Xbox One. In case you didn’t get a chance to tune in, we have you covered with some of the key details and tech specs below.

 

Since being released back on November 22nd of 2005, the Xbox 360 has been our console of choice. Now the folks at Microsoft are looking to win our hearts again with the introduction of their latest console, the Xbox One. The new console will feature a 8 Core CPU, 8GB System Memory, 500GB HDD, Blu-Ray Drive, 802.11n Wireless with Wi-Fi Direct, HDMI In/Out, and USB 3.0. The entire interface has seen upgrades across the board which includes the current Xbox Live network of 15,000 servers being upgraded to 300,000 individual servers to withstand the growing demand for online gaming and entertainment, the ability to Skype while doing pretty much anything, revamped Kinect/voice recognition, and much more.

 

Microsoft also announced that they will be debuting 15 exclusive titles in the first year, which includes 8 new franchises, and the debut of Forza 5 coinciding with the consoles’ release. Halo fans can also rejoice as 343 Studios announced that a Halo television series would be launching, created by…drum roll please…Steven Spielberg. Xbox also landed an exclusive partnership with the NFL that will include in depth fantasy football integration among other things.

 

The Xbox One details will continue to roll out during E3, which kicks off next month from June 11th to June 13th. No price point or release date was announced, but it was confirmed that the console will be released later this year. See more details on the Xbox website.
